The Minister of Defence of Ukraine Jury Ehanurov in Independence Day plans to present to Ukraine and the world new national tank "Stronghold" (Oplot). It Jury Ehanurov has declared today in Minsk during visiting of the fifth International exhibition of arms and a military technology which is spent in capital of Belarus on May, 19-22th, informs UNIAN. On specifying question, whether new Ukrainian basic fighting tank "Stronghold" (Oplot) will be presented to time of carrying out of military parade on August, 24th on a Kreschatik, the minister has noticed that concerning carrying out of parade the President of Ukraine - the Supreme commander in chief of Armed forces yet has not accepted the final decision. «But we should show our new samples of arms and a military technology, and it is necessary to show new Ukrainian tank" Stronghold "» (Oplot), - J.Ehanurov has told, having added that in the near future this tank will be accepted on arms Ukraine. «It would be interesting to us to present it to the world, I think that together with the Ministry of an industrial policy, with association« Malysheva »we will make it», - the Minister of Defence has expressed hope, having noticed that for this purpose it is not obligatory to spend parade.
